I was wondering if anyone played the PS2 or DS version of this game? I really liked the live-action drama and read some of the manga. I'm wondering if maybe it's similar to the La Corda genre since it deals with classical music?

I checked on amazon.co.jp and it seemed to get mixed ratings so I was just wondering if anyone already played it and had any feedback?

Here's the amazon link http://www.amazon.co...

Nodame for NDS is a game that you have to touch the note mark along with the music and also have some mini games. This page has sample pics of the game and minigames . [ http://ahiru.exteen....-cantabile-9835 ]
and these links for a demo of the game.

For PS2 is a game that you can ONLY push the button rhythmically. The story flow like an anime one.
For me Nodame for NDS is far better. The PS2 one is very borring and Chiaki-sama and Kurokin aren't cool. ;_;

The real reason why Kira became Seiso's Rijichou

Yeah I gotta to agree that the PS2 is pretty boring and you can finish it in an instant
Like wasseryharp said, the story is similar like the anime and I believe there are no game over here until you finish the game.

I never play for the DS one coz I don't have a DS >_>

Thanks for your feedback. Hmm... it sorta sounds like Taiko no Tetsujin where you hit the beats to the music. I think I'll look into the Nintendo DS one then. Even though the game sounds a bit simple, I think I'll like the classical music aspect of it.

how playable is the DS one if you can't read Japanese? I have Ouendan 1+2 for the DS and they're fun even if you have no idea what people are saying :)

it's still playable even though you can't understand what the characters say.the story mode is just the way to unlock the music and mini games. even my brother who can't understand japanese could finish the game faster than me^o^; (apart from his skill in music games)

I have checked out both manga and the anime. I like the storyline between Chiaki and Nodame. AQUAMARiNEraito, since your brother is playing this game, I guess that this is not a dating sim game?

yup, you're right  that's disappointing thoughT_T but it's ok since the gameplay is fun but a bit deceiving too especially in taiko and conducting mini-game since it doesn't show the combo, perfect, great, good, miss like you'll see in DDR when you play the game. the problem is that hitting the all notes precisely affects the result.

That does sound hard. I'm playing this other PS2 game called AfterSchool Love Beat or something like that and I can't even move on into the story cuz I can't pass the beat game...
I might think about it a little longer before I invest in this game.

yup we have to. but that doesn't mean we have to be that perfect^o^ it's just that if you want to have better comment in the story mode, Sakuma's best compliment (it's pinky and rosy on the background lol) in mini-game section, and of course a great applause from the audience from nowhere.

what i want to stress on is that don't be deceived by the game  btw the game isn't that hard. it's easier than Ouendan, i think^_^ and you can play it more than once, which means that after the story ends, the game will be back again to the beginning and if you follow the story mode again you can unlock the last conductor\^o^/

I don't have the PS2 game but have played it before and I consider it to be pretty dull and easy but I guess you would have some interest if you're a fan of the series overall like I am.

apparently there is a wii game being made of nodome cantabile where you use the wiimote to play the instruments and conduct the orchestra - not sure if it's the same game being ported/adapted or what

I've played the DS game. It's like a very easy Ouendan. I wouldn't say much of its difficulty, but if you're an avid Nodame fan, and would like to listen to the songs featured in the manga/anime/live-action, this would be a good game to get. Even if you just like to listen to classical songs in general.

I especially liked the mini-games section, where there is a cooking mini-game, and you get to whip up a couple of dishes. I love to see food. The 'extras' were also a delight for me, because completeing the storyline gives you access to many graphics, or rather, coloured scenes from the manga, which are rather pretty.

I'd say that the Taiko section of the game isn't very stimulating. It pales in comparison to the real Taiko games, so I didn't enjoy that very much.
